Oscar Freire (Rabobank) zdobył swoje pierwsze zwycięstwo w sezonie 2010, wygrywając drugi etap Challenge Mallorca. Na finiszu pokonał Greipela i Cardoso.
Na drugim etapie Challenge Mallorca liczącym 172,4 km miało miejsce wiele ataków. Po kilku kilometrach od startu na czele uformowała się grupa sześciu kolarzy, a byli to: Luis Mas (Burgos Monumental), David Deroo (Skil-Shimano), Ronan Van Zandbeek (Van Vliet EBH Elshof), Manuel Ortega (Andalucia-Cajasur) oraz Andoni Blazquez (Orbea).
Największa ich przewaga wynosiła 6:37 na 27 kilometrze.
Jednak 6 kilometrów przed metą harcowników złapał peleton, z którego najszybciej finiszował Freire. Pokonał on Andre Greipela (Team Columbia) oraz Manuela Cardoso (Footon-Scott).
Na 29 pozycji uplasował się Jarosław Marycz (Team Saxo Bank).
